2025 Meat & Egg CSA SOLD OUT

What is a CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. A CSA is a membership-based model where you invest in the farm and buy a share in the farm production for the year. By paying upfront in the spring you are investing in the farm and getting a share of production during the harvest season. Our Meat CSA members will get a monthly distribution of farm fresh, pasture-raised meat (chicken & pork ) and/or eggs throughout the season (June - December).

Why are we doing it?
The first C in CSA is one of driving priorities in our stewardship of Evergreen Farm: Community.  Through a CSA model, we will be able to establish strong working relationships and build community, while also ensuring that this piece of land that we caretake can be shared and appreciated with our broader village.

How do you raise your animals?

Our chickens are raised on pasture and our meat birds are moved each day for fresh pasture in their mobile coops. Our laying hens have a mobile coop that is moved weekly with electric netting for fresh pasture. Pasturing our chickens also adds fertility to our soils. For the pigs they move between forest and fields and we watch the plants in the pasture to ensure we move them so that the pasture isn’t damaged. The pigs are also helping us prepare fields for planting Christmas Trees! We feed our animals organic grain and also supplement with food scraps from our garden.

What are other benefits?

We welcome you connecting with the animals at our farm, from meeting the baby chicks when they arrive to helping with feeding, we are happy to have you at the farm! You are welcome to walk the farm during pick ups and will have first access to purchase tickets to a farm to table dinner and to purchase a cut your own Christmas Tree (which are limited in 2025).
